About Leonard
As a young man growing up in the south, Leonard knew the odds were against him, not only as a minority but to finish high school then have a prominent career after college. However, his track record of mischief and mayhem overshadowed his potential. Naysayers, doubters, and even family members had high hopes of him landing in jail before his 21st birthday. And they guaranteed him a life span of only twenty-five years. Critics placed their bets, and Leonard rose to the occasion against all odds. Proving to the naysayers, doubters, and family members, he was a true child of his Lord and Savior. With his head held high, he walked in faith, not by sight, and only hearing the spoken words from God in his anointed path of blessings.
To date, Leonard has written his first manuscript,” First Choice, Second Chance.” This transformation memoir focuses on his life—the trials, tribulations, and burdens.
Entrepreneur-turned-author Leonard Dwight or “Lenny” was born in Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, formally known as Brooklyn Jewish Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. He now resides in the Midlands of South Carolina. Leonard graduated from Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School, the most significant public school in Orangeburg County. He went on to earn a General Business degree from Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College. After an unsuccessful transition from a technical college to a four-year university, Leonard transferred a “D” average transcript and the willpower to succeed to his second college attendance at Claflin University.
There, he obtained two degrees in only three years (a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management, Summa Cum Laude, and a Master’s in Business Administration, Cum Laude). Leonard is an active member in his hometown church, serving in various church committees and as a male usher. He continues to inspire others with encouraging words on social media and public engagements.
